Blue Nile

For Blue Nile, I acted as a visual designer, user interaction designer, and front-end developer. Some of the projects that required all three skill sets included redesigning the shopping cart, designing a new feature that enabled customers to match a diamond with a setting, and redesigning the diamond search results. Visual design projects included designing educational pages, info graphics, and icons.

Windows Live Search

I designed for several different Windows Live Search products, including Book Search, Q&A, Messenger, and Premium Search. The goal of Premium Search was to envision Search results five years out and was reviewed by Bill Gates.

Windows Live Maps

When I worked at Windows Live Maps, my primary design project was Collections. This feature enables users to personalize and save a map. I also worked on envisioning the next version of maps, which included designing 3D tours. This feature enables users to personalize and save a map. University Bookstore

I owned the visual design, user interaction design, image processing, testing, and all front-end development for the University of Washington Bookstore site. I also redesigned the entire site to implement a new brand, logo, and image that had been provided for the store by an outside marketing firm. I came up with a fun, funky, and colorful new look that incorporated the spirit and guidelines of the new brand.
